Jobs failing with the error – job can not start as it is suspended

Posted: May 5, 2010 in DBA, SQL Error Messages

If you look in the SQL Agent error logs it should record the problem – Subsystem %s could not be loaded.

When this happens you need to run this script:

use msdb;
delete from msdb.dbo.syssubsystems;
exec msdb.dbo.sp_verify_subsystems 1;

Now restart the SQL Agent

    I have a problem when a new user logs into a system, the refresh time is slow and an error pops-up on the screen and reads”sa cancel”. I’ve tried deleting full files and this does not help. Please help

    How are they logging in? Is it through an application?
    Can they connect through the SSMS – SQL Server Management Server?
    You say new user – can they login after a period of time?
